Having an internationally recognised ‘ISO stamp of approval’ has proven to be very good for OH&S; the number of people attending ISO 45001 courses has increased hugely compared to its predecessor OHSAS 18001.
In a report issued by CQI IRCA* earlier this month, we can see how many people attended ISO 45001 courses in 2018, compared to OHSAS 18001 in 2017:
Foundation course
The entry level Foundation course has seen the largest increase, with over 5 times more attendees than OHSAS 18001 the year prior.
Internal Auditor course
We can see an 88% increase in Internal Auditor training in 2018 compared to 2017.
Lead Auditor course
Lead Auditor appears to be the most popular course, with over 10.5k people attending courses worldwide.
Auditor Conversion course
Conversion course attendees have more than doubled – this is a great way for existing auditors to add an extra ISO standard to their portfolio.
