What is Zoom?

Zoom is a cloud platform (application) for video, voice, content sharing, chat and training. It runs across virtually any laptop or PC as long as you have a good internet connection.

We use Zoom for our Virtual training courses*, but don’t worry if you haven’t used it before, it is very easy to use and we provide help and support to all of our delegates. Basically as long as you can connect to Zoom, we will talk you through the rest.

*We can also offer Microsoft Teams training for in-house training, please speak to our team for more info.

If you have never used Zoom before you can download and install it from the links below, there are lots of handy guides and tips below

GET TO KNOW ZOOM

Approx. 3-4 weeks before the course one of our training team will contact you and organise a short Zoom call with you to ensure you know how to use Zoom and answer any questions. We call this our “pre-course call.

Our team will show you how to mute/unmute audio/video, how to raise your hand, how use the chat function and how to upload or download files. During the actual training the trainers will show lookup after all breakout rooms and give guidance on this

FIRST DAY OF TRAINING

On the first day of your training join the Zoom training using the details we send you, the trainer will give another quick guide on Zoom and how to use it
