halfway through ISO 45001 migration 

ISO 45001 was introduced in March 2018 and replaces OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety – companies have a three year migration period to move across to the new standard.  We are now halfway through so if you havn’t migrated yet then we urge you to make a start; leaving it too late could have major implications for your company and future business –

• If you miss the migration deadline, your company will have to make a new application for ISO 45001 certification
• If your suppliers request you adhere to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 under their terms of business, you may need to inform them of the changes to your company
• Certification bodies are already in high demand, you may therefore struggle with availability if you leave it too close to the deadline
• It’s important to allow time to resolve potential non-conformities. If any issues are identified at Stage 1 you will need time to resolve before Stage 2 accreditation.
