This 3-day condensed course enables existing lead auditors who already have a suitable qualification (e.g., a lead auditor certificate) to acquire the knowledge and skills required to conduct audits of an Environmental Management System against ISO 14001:2015.
This ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion course is the same level as an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor course; thus, the certificate is of equal value. Delegates will learn how to plan, lead and report internal, supplier and external audits; the course focuses solely on the knowledge and skills which are unique to ISO 14001.

Who should attend this ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion Course?
- Existing lead auditors who wish to have environmental lead auditor training to conduct internal, supplier and external audits of an EMS that conforms to ISO 14001:2015.
- An Auditor Conversion course is only suitable for people who have previously completed a 5-day Lead Auditor course (in any standard, i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc.). If delegates plan to register with CQI IRCA, the prior Lead Auditor course must have been CQI and IRCA certified.
- Personnel involved in planning, managing or implementing an ISO 14001:2015 EMS.
- People who need to identify any gaps in an Environmental Management System to remain compliant.
- This ISO 14001 Conversion course satisfies the training requirement for anyone wishing to register as an Auditor with IRCA (International Register of Certified Auditors).
Delegates attending this CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion course must have knowledge of ISO 14001:2015. It is highly recommended that delegates attend our ISO 14001:2015 Foundation course beforehand to gain this knowledge. ISO 14001:2015 specifically requires personnel to be competent – this course provides essential skills and knowledge to help delegates become fully competent auditors.

What is the format of the course?
- The course consists of tutor-led sessions plus individual and group activities (approx. 25% theory and 75% practical).
- A case study is used throughout the ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion course to enable skills development.

What is the course assessment?
- Attendees will be assessed on their participation throughout the course, including any interactive activities, use of case studies and audit simulation.
- As per CQI and IRCA rules, 100% course attendance is required for this ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion training course.
- Delegates must complete a 1-hour 35-minute online e-assessment with multiple-choice questions after the course. This can be completed on a date/time convenient to each delegate but must be within 30 days of the course (a CQI and IRCA requirement). Batalas recommend taking the exam as soon as possible after the course for best results. A webcam, microphone and speakers are required for the online e-assessment.

What type of certificate will I receive?
- Delegates attending and passing this ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion course will receive a CQI IRCA certificate.
Please note – passing the ISO 14001 Auditor Conversion course exam is equivalent to passing an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor course exam; therefore, the certificate is of equal value.
