ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requires organisations to ensure that personnel are “competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, or experience”. This Foundation course provides delegates with essential knowledge of the Standard to enable organisations to manage their ISMS effectively.

What is the format of the course?
- Our Virtual and Classroom courses use various teaching techniques, whereby the tutor combines tutor-led sessions and engaging activities to secure learning (approx. 25% theory and 75% practical).
- The Online version of this course consists of 11 training modules, which include lessons in the form of presentations, videos, animations, engaging activities, and quizzes. The bite-size modules are approx. 30 minutes each so can easily be completed around other commitments.
After booking the course, joining instructions are sent via email – these will include unique log-in details along with links to the Digital Learning Portal – learning can then begin! Delegates have 30 days to complete the course. Access ends upon completion.

What is the course assessment?
- Delegates attending a Virtual or Classroom ISMS Foundation course will be assessed on their general engagement with course content, including any practical activities.
- Delegates learning via the ISO 27001 Foundation Online course will have knowledge checks in the form of quizzes throughout the course.
- Delegates must attend 100% of the course (in accordance with CQI and IRCA requirements).
