About you
I am the Managing Director of PWA Ltd, which was founded in 2019.
Previously, I was employed by Paradigm Precision as Quality Director for International Operations, covering sites in the UK, Poland, Hungary, Tunisia and Canada. I was responsible for quality assurance and control, and implemented standardised AS9100: Rev D across all sites.
I have 20+ years auditing experience, both internal and external.

Peter William Allen Ltd was founded in April 2019 and provides Quality Management Consultancy Services. The business is located in the North West of the UK.
About auditing
PWA Ltd. is not currently certified or implementing a QMS; this is a service I will be offering to external organisations.
Challenges I face when auditing to Standards are foremost interpretation of the Standard and/or customer requirements.
About the course
I have attended the AS9100 Lead Auditor training course with Batalas.
I self-funded the training in order to work towards becoming a certified Lead Auditor. I am looking to offer this service to organisations/certification bodies who have and/or are seeking assistance with AS9100.

About your career
I am currently contracted as interim Head of Quality for a precision aerospace manufacturer in Greater Manchester. I am also working with a consultancy organisation located on the US East Coast, again providing aerospace quality management consultancy services.
The next steps are AS9100 Lead Auditor, working with colleges/universities for coaching and mentoring.
About advice to new auditors
Be fully conversant with the Standards.
Practice/mock audits to determine your audit style.
Be consistent, patient and self-assured.
Most importantly, be respectful to your auditees(s)
