Course objectives

No quality management system can achieve its potential unless it is constantly monitored and audited. Your organisation needs to remain consistently compliant with the exacting requirements of ISO 9001:2008.

This highly interactive 2 day training course will teach you the tools and techniques of the internal auditor, how to conduct an effective audit, how to check for conformity to the ISO 9001 standard (including ISO 19011) and how to use these to achieve continual business process improvement. This internal audit QMS training course will teach your staff to identify any gaps that may challenge the effectiveness of your quality management system.

This course is vital for anyone responsible for audting their own internal management system, or for anyone involved in the planning, managing and implemention of internal audit systems. ISO 9001 requires that staff are trained and competent auditors, therefore this course satisfies this requirement.

The "quality world" and specifically that of auditing has changed dramatically over the last decade, and so has the role of the internal quality auditor. Previously an internal auditor was expected to audit and check for any legal compliance issues and conformance of the management system. Now internal QMS auditors are expected to help to develop the quality management system and continually improve upon it.

Tutor led sessions interspersed with individual and team based exercises (approx 25% theory and 75% practical). Extensive use of a case study to enable skills to be developed.

Certificate

An IRCA approved certificate for those who successfully complete all elements of the course, including written and practical skills assessment.

This course satisfies the formal training requirements for those wishing to register with the IRCA as an Internal Quality Auditor (Foundation course may be required dependant on your background). Attendance on this quality management training course will provide delegates with 16 CPD points.
