The first company to be convicted against The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 has been fined £385,000.
The company was fined after being convicted by a jury at Winchester Crown Court this week. An employee died whilst taking a soil sample in a deep trench, whcih collapsed and killed him.
In July 2007 the revised version of OHSAS 18001 was introduced. The changes are basically a tidying and alignment exercise with the quality management system standard ISO 9001 and the environmental management system standard ISO 14001. Click here to read more...
